Vauxhall Island ()

Vauxhall Island refers to the green space adjacent to Vauxhall bus station.  Advertising hoardings prevail earning the land owners, it is said, some £1M per year. The site is best appreciated from a high level such as the view from neighbouring Phoenix House.   

Once an area becomes a ‘public’ green space it is difficult to envisage it being used as anything else.  However, this site is due to be redeveloped with the so called Kylun Towers.
