The oldest tree on Claylands Green

The oldest tree on Claylands Green can be found at the Trigon Road end of the green.

The oldest tree is a False Acacia (Robinia pseudoacacia) The two short spines at the base of each leaf and the smooth underside of the leaf help distinguish it from the true Acacia.

Counting this tree as number 1 and working clockwise around the green (see pictures below) we have

1.  False acacia (the oldest tree)
